Making Progress

hexagonal cargo container - half - 1

We made some real progress on the Hexagonal Cargo Containers this week.

They went from concept drawing; to 3D models; to several iterations of prototypes; to what I think were final run prototypes today.

There are 6 different variants and we are looking to sell them in 6 packs, 12 packs, and 24 packs.

Check out the Greens Gallery for more pics.

I am thinking we will have some rock star terrain up for sale soon! 8^=20150130_162515

Prototypes

cargo containers different sizes 20150129Aside from badass miniatures – we will be producing 15mm SciFi terrain.

My brother Bill absolutely puts the “RAPID” in rapid prototyping…

These were quick builds in SLS to determine if the sizing was correct.

While these are 25.4mm in height – I am leaning towards going to 30mm in height.

Also thanks to Giacomo Pantalone for the 3D modeling – he is doing some modifications and adding 4 new skins to the hexagonal cargo containers tomorrow.

For scale reference only are several Eureka Neo-Germans and a RAFM Heavy Gear…

The Death Guard

Skullduggery PressThe Death Guard
They were old when the galaxy was new.
They were once a race of flesh and blood until a discovery of an ancient alien artifact went awry and they found themselves undying by natural means.
As the millennia passed, they turned to looking for a solution and devoted themselves to researching new sciences and questing for other alien artifacts and technology to solve their immortal curse. They are now part warrior, part scientist, and part Don Quixote.
They are considered galactic bogeymen by many races, rarely seen and not to be taken lightly. Armed to the teeth and having the ability to phase-out, or “ghost”, they are quite a force to be reckoned with despite their small numbers. Standing between them and their objective is the folly of the foolish – for they are unrelenting in their search for solace.
Occasionally they attract followers from the races they have contact with – at best they are pilot-fish for the Death Guard. Some find their cause true and of having purpose in a galaxy filled with neither. The Death Guard tolerate the interactions as long as it does not interfere with their research.

Tox Troopers

Tox Troopers
These warriors are indicative of the survivors that exist on the many Ruin Worlds that the Death Guard scour in their search for ancient alien artifacts. They are hardened troops living in the wastelands, scrounging what they can, when they can.
Often the Ruin Worlds are polluted with toxic waste requiring the heavy, sealed, extemporized battle dress of the Tox Troopers.
They can often be found maintaining old wind farms or solar collectors recharging their weapons, hover jeeps, and grav bikes.
There are even rumors of them maintaining ancient communication arrays – waiting for their space gods to share their insight with them.
Occasionally they fall into the service of stronger forces – those that serve the Dark Legion are called Thrall Troopers.

The Dark Legion

The Dark Legion
A splinter faction of the Death Guard that embraced both their immortality and their dark side. If the Death Guard are considered galactic bogeymen – the Dark Legion are considered to be galactic reapers. Parents whisper to their children about the Death Guard but are too afraid to invoke even a mention of the Dark Legion.
They seek only destruction and death. Their quests often based around finding ancient alien treasures that will advance their grim cause and increase their power base. The Galaxy’s only hope is that they are few in number, for their quest for power and destruction is relentless.
